In the exhibition “A Glimmer in the Dark—Bunkers and the Occupation at Holmsland Klit,” you can get a glimpse of what life was like in Hvide Sande and at Holmsland Klit during World War II. Here, you’ll meet fishermen, freedom fighters, and a lighthouse keeper without a lighthouse.
You’ll get an up-close look at those who fought in secret, and you can step inside a reconstructed bunker to see how it was set up for the young German soldiers stationed there in 1945.
Fiskeriets Hus Open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Dogs are welcome, and children and teenagers up to 18 years of age get free admission when accompanied by an adult.
